Programmed in association with the Film Event Accessibility Working Group (FEAW) and FWD-Doc, this session is designed for filmmakers and festival organizers looking to build their audience by improving accessibility. This year, leading disability and film organizations have been conducting research on film events and festivals, with four reports coming out that shed light not only on why accessibility is valuable, but how and what it takes to plan truly accessible events.

This suite of reports, already receiving wide press coverage, is not only newsworthy, but can be key for both filmmakers and festival organizers to know where to invest their resources in order to achieve impactful change. The panel will feature representatives from cross-disability-organizations uniting in solidarity to overview the recent findings on best practices in supporting film festival accessibility today.
